From time to time I may review a product or book on this site as it pertains to my blog’s focus.  Please assume that I have received these items at no cost to me.  As most of you know, I don’t care if I get something for free: I will tell you what I think about it, even if that means I don’t get any more free stuff.  The FTC, however, has required me to spell out that I get free stuff to review.  So, now you are informed and I can’t get fined.  (Interesting to note that newspapers and magazines do not have to follow these rules.  Makes me wonder if this is more about control than protecting the public.  If only there was a way to opt out of national health care with a disclaimer!)
