Accountable
I decided today to really open myself up online. I am participating in a new way to get fit and be healthy. The idea is that if you turn it into a game it will spark the competitive nature in all of us to keep our momentum long after we decide to be serious about it.
I was skeptical at first. When I met Day I thought he was going to be just like all of the other trainers I met in Atlanta. I thought he was going to talk about things you have to do, things you can’t do anymore, and tell me how horrible I was as a human for not being in the gym all the time.
What I discovered was that Day wants to change the way I approach my WHOLE life…not just health and fitness. Part of my weekly goal is to work through the book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” and journal about my reaction. Part of my training is to write down the habits I have that are not helping me achieve my health and fitness goals and then replace those habits slowly with new habits that will help me reach those goals.
One of the things that we talked about yesterday was how I needed to be held accountable in this endeavor. You are a part of that accountability. I want you to pester me to keep at it, keep leaving the dairy products at the store, keep eating the fruits and vegetables that I need, and pray that this will help me change my life.
As a start…I have posted pictures at the Character Fitness Blog. So, there it is. Time to get moving.

Wow. It's Quiet Here...
